So, if you're here because you want to get rich right now and aren't willing to devote even a few hours a week to earning a little extra income, hit the "back" button and continue your Internet search for the "next big thing." We haven't stumbled on it, and, honestly, we quit looking.

Let me be 100 percent frank... we're real people, just like you. We have full-time jobs (my wife is a full-time, on-air radio show host, and I work for a non-profit), we have bills, a couple of kids, a dog, a cat... you get the idea. For proof, visit our family blog at www.huntstuff.blogspot.com, where we keep in touch with our friends and family, who largely live hundreds (or thousands) of miles away.

A couple of years ago, we made a real effort to "go green," to live as responsibly as possible and protect the environment to the best of our ability. We recyle. We buy products that aren't double- or even triple-packaged. We install high-efficiency light bulbs when the old incandescent bulbs burn out... little things that add up over time.

A little over a year ago, a good friend of ours approached us with a line of products made by a company that preaches environmental wellness, among other things. Its products are austerely packaged, made from natural ingredients, largely non-toxic and available to preferred customers at very affordable prices. It sounded attractive.

The catch?

Well, we look at each other and laugh now when we hear someone ask us that question. But, doesn't every "here's how we make extra money" story have a "catch?" For argument's sake, here' it is: We had to become "preferred customers." For $29, we had to buy a membership. This gave us the privalege of shopping online (or, here in Idaho Falls, at the company store) for products we use and run out of every day--detergent, cleansers, vitamins, health supplements, toiletries... we have over 300 items to choose from. Oh, and we got $100 in free products spread out over five months. And, if, at any time during the first four months, we wanted out, all we had to do was say so, and we could get our $29 back. Needless to say, we never asked for our money back.

So, for a year or so, we used these products every month--the concentrated laundry detergent soon replaced the twice-monthly bottle of Tide; the dishwasher detergent supplanted Cascade; the glass cleaner took the place of Windex... we realized we were actually saving money buying concentrated products that, a) lasted much longer, and, b) were of superior quality. We simply switched stores, and it was then that we realized that we cut our visits to the local Wal-Mart superstore by nearly two-thirds. We then asked the obvious question: Why doesn't everybody do this?

To this day, we don't have the answer. But, about year into our stint using these products, we started telling our friends about them. Let's be honest--we're not very evangelical people. It was tough for us to approach people we knew and cared about in order to give them a sales pitch. It was uncomfortable.

That was, until one day, after we'd referrred a few of friends to the company, we got a little check in the mail from that company. It wasn't anything much, but it was enough to make a dent in the amount of money we'd spent that month buying products we would have bought anyway (when was the last time Tide sent you a check in the mail for recommending their product to your friends?)

Today, just a few months later, and a few more friends later, the check covers our purchases entirely, and leaves us with extra money each month that we apply to our bills. We've been told that, if we continue at our modest rate of referring just a handful of new customers to this company every month, our checks will continue to grow. They'll get even bigger if we help the people we've referred to the company bring more customers into the fold. Buy the end of the year, our checks every month could be THOUSANDS of dollars, more than enough to seriously knock down our debt and provide a bit of security in an economy that isn't exactly stellar.

So, maybe you're asking, "What's the company?" No problem. We'll tell you--Melaleuca. Click the link, check them out, and if you're interested, and then get in touch with us. We'd love to show you how you can live a healthier, more environmentally friendly lifestyle, and even make good money doing it.

We promise you three things, should you decide you want to remove the harmful chemicals from your home buying things you would normally buy anyway.

1) We won't ask you to spend any new money--we just want you to change stores.
2) We won't ask you to carry expensive inventory and sell it to your friends to make money.
3) If you want to make some extra money, we'll help you every step of the way.

Here's how you can reach us:

Liza: erh519@gmail.com
Chris: upacreek2310@gmail.com

Thanks for visiting, and we hope to hear from you soon!
